Amazon pay-per-click advertising used to promote products in sponsored placements and charge the seller when a shopper clicks.

Why it matters commercially

PPC can grow marketplace demand, but it can also consume the margin created by imported inventory if landed cost, fees, returns, and stock cover are not modeled.
